Biography

With a nostalgic ear and a remarkable tone, Miss Fay embodies the duality of raw expression and eloquence. The soul artist, DIY creative and aspiring world traveler is committed to uplifting her community through mindfulness, advocacy and visual storytelling.

Born and raised in south central Los Angeles; Miss Fay had a hard time fitting in anywhere but a choir.

“As a kid I was painfully shy; but music became a safe space for me to express myself. I created the altar ego, “Miss Fay,” as a form of escapism from my insecurities; allowing my stage presence to be far more audacious than I am on a normal day.”

Since receiving her BFA, Miss Fay utilizes her theatre background during live shows, embracing imperfection and improvisation. Moved by rebellious songwriters like Nina Simone and Amy Winehouse; Fay’s lyrics explore stories of resilience, sensuality and vulnerability. She joined an award-winning residency in Abu Dhabi, performing over 250 shows for international crowds. She returned to perform as Nala in Tale of The Lion King at Disneyland Resort.

Miss Fay released her debut mixtape friends with Deficits, which details her struggles to cope with adulting, funny money and unrequited lust.

Her brand, Inner Renaissance, is devoted to encouraging anxious creatives to redefine beauty and success for themselves.

“My prayer is that we compete less and connect more.”
